okay, so I was looking at the web last night and saw that my idea to use the seishun 18 kippu to travel the very long distances between major cities and within major cities has been foiled.

this should give you the 411.

drats! foiled again!

apparently they have three windows a year in which they let you buy them. lame. lame. stupid. dumb. and the week before I get there is the cutoff date to use the ticket and three weeks after i leave, theyre gonna open it back up again.

so whats the big deal? i guess it really isnt too big of a deal, it just means I will have to find some way to get from city to city without paying the huge train ticket price.

bikes? hitchhiking? wait, no, i havent survived, rape and death free, in this country for 21 years just to get killed in another one while being there for two months.

if anyone has any alternative suggestions, now would be the time.

and in other news, i was also given the idea by derek z to live in internet cafes while im there. its such a good idea and its become such a big freakin deal that they have even done news stories about it.
